​The Parent - Toddler - Program (PTP) is a facilitated playgroup where the child, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, engages with a rich and stimulating Montessori environment designed specifically for their explosive period of self-construction. This two-hour session focuses on purposeful “work” rather than casual play, supporting the child’s drive for competence and independence.

Environment: A warm and inviting space with lots of rich materials purposefully set up into different, engaging learning nooks including language, maths, practical life, craft, social-emotional and sensorial development.

 

Approach: Developing the child’s language, movement, social-emotional skills, and, most importantly, their independence through self-directed activity.

The Toddler Program directly supports the child’s development across all critical domains:

• Fostering Independence and Self-Confidence: Mastery of Practical Life activities building the belief, “I can do it myself!”

• Language Development: Exposure to a language-rich environment and specialised materials that foster vocabulary expansion and clear communication.

• Order and Concentration: The use of materials with specific sequences and a “work cycle” supports sustained focus and an internal sense of order.

• Refined Motor Coordination: Activities in the Sensorial and Practical Life areas sharpen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

• Emotional Regulation: Helping the child understand and express their feelings through an intentionally designed environment, building crucial social and emotional development skills.
